A: 36

Q: Age of Diagnosis?
A: 36

Q: Where are you located?
A: Dallas, Tx

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Reading, Pinterest, doing things with my family, hanging out with friends, anything outside

Q: What is one thing your doctor didn’t tell you about your Autoimmune Arthritis that you wish they had?
A: I wish I would have known about the fatigue and how I have to manage my activity or pay the price the next day.

Q: If you could tell your past self something before diagnosis, what would it be?
A: That you will be okay and that learning to live with this illness is far easier than trying to ignore it

Q: What would you like to tell others newly diagnosed with Autoimmune Arthritis?
A: That there are others that understand. I think it is important to take it one day at a time and learn to embrace the new you and learn to let some things go. The house will not be perfect and that is okay.

Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: I am shorts and sneakers gal these days

Q: What part of dealing with your Autoimmune Arthritis has made the biggest impact on you?
A: Learning to accept that my life has changed and it is okay if I can not be a super mom. Learning to let go of Mommy guilt, wife guilt, and friend guilt.

Q: Favorite quote?
A: “It is better to regret the things in life that I have done than to regret the things I have never done at all.”

Q: What are three random things about yourself that others may not know?
A: When I start reading I can not stop, I love statistics, I would much rather produce a ten page spreadsheet than tell you where to put a comma.

Thank you for taking a walk in my shoes!
